Each semester, the department invites guest speakers from industry to address CE 408 and CE 596 classes in a multitude of topics such as contracts, insurance, project management, road safety engineering, and water resources management. In addition, high school students are invited to attend an Engineering Senior Day when the department head or his designee gives a presentation and video show, and tours of SCE’s concrete canoe and steel bridge. The department also participates in several college-sponsored workshops, such as the Summer Engineering Academy, open houses, etc. |
